The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the opening of several specialized treatment units to combat addiction, as part of its expansion plans to improve the quality of mental health care and provide rehabilitation and support services in various regions of the Kingdom.
These centers include the latest internationally approved treatment programs, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, and post-recovery follow-up programs, under the supervision of specialized medical staff.
This step falls within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which prioritizes psychological and social aspects, especially with the increasing challenges facing young people. The Ministry confirmed that these units will receive cases with complete confidentiality and provide comprehensive psychological and social support to the patient and their family.
